Contest by easl at Sal's Realm

The theme was for the fake to be a musician or member of a band. The fake had to be on a white background.

I entered the following fake:

(Entered January 1, 2008)

Some people commented that I did the guitar too detailed to be in RuneScape. I was 4th place in the votes.

Here is the group picture with everyone who entered:

(Posted in this topic)

I did not receive an award, as I was 4th place.

Contest by butt-head at Sal's Realm

The theme was to re-create the RuneScape intro screen from scratch, by drawing it.

Note: Prior to RuneScape HD, the welcome screen looked like this:

(note: this screenshot is much older than the contest, so the buttons at the bottom are not there)

This was my entry:

An alternate was this:

Many people said that mine was the best entry. The contest maker, however, forgot about the contest, and, thus, no awards were given

Contest by easl at Sal's Realm

The theme was to make a fake of an epic battle, known as a "dynamic fake". The fake had to be on a white background.

I submitted this fake:

People commented that it absolutely does not look like something that would fit in RuneScape . I was seriously thinking more about Chrono Trigger than about RuneScape when I made it I made the fake to celebrate me beating Chrono Trigger. This is what the scene is meant to replicate:

It's the final battle of the game. Note: I did not fake the two alien-things on the left, because I ran out of time, and because the one on the right side is the true core of Lavos.

The voting has completed, but no awards have been given out yet. You may see it here.

I have received 2 votes, tying me for 3rd place with two other fakers. Gonza Man has recieved 7 votes, and is the first place winner.

Contest by Kittyhawk at RuneHQ

This is the first official faking competition at RuneHQ, hosted by the moderator Kittyhawk. The theme is to make a good item fake, and if the item can be equipped, it must also be faked in equipped form, or if it can be used, it must be faked in use. I entered this fake:

(Entered June 10, 2009)

The following was the original (unedited) image:

I made the top of the staff, the amulet, the bracelets, and the cape entirely from scratch on the equipped person. The item icons I made from scratch were the amulet, staff, cape, and ring. The only things I did not edit are the boots and the color of my skin.

phoenix_x19 won 1st place, I got 3rd place (last, out of three contestants) with two votes.

Contest by Kittyhawk at RuneHQ

This is the second official faking competition at RuneHQ, hosted by the moderator Kittyhawk. The theme is "Blast from the Past". I entered my "Revenge in the Name of TBFL" fake (see main gallery) on August 20, 2009. The contest has ended, and I have won first place, beating the only other contestant by one vote (I had four votes). So far, I have received no prize for winning.

Contest by The Darkest at Sal's Realm

This contest, by The Omega Faking Group's leader, The Darkest, has no themes and allows old fakes. I entered my "Revenge in the Name of TBFL" fake on September 26, 2009. The contest was closed by a moderator after not receiving new posts for a week.

Contest by Choccy at Sal's Realm

This isn't really a fake contest, but rather a contest for pretty much anything in the Screenshot Place at Sal's Realm. Still, one category was Screenshot Fakes, for which my "Revenge in the Name of TBFL" fake was nominated, and I barely one first place by the time the poll was closed. Here is my award:

Contest by Justincrdibl at Zybez

Possibly the first official fake competition at Zybez. Hosted by moderators and with a prize of 2-months Exclusive Membership, the theme of this contest is to fake anything that pertains to guards. By its requirements and limitations, animations were not allowed, and I made the following fake:

(Entered February 28th, the due date)

The idea here was that the stone site what where Zaros was banished from Gielinor, and the guard had accidentally freed him.

I was planning on making a more coherent version of this as a video, with an explanation for the "Strange Power", my idea of the bottom floor of Daemonheim, and an epic battle with an anticlimactically humorous end. However, Jagex released Warped floors before I even started :(

The voting has completed, and I lost at fourth place with 12 votes, against 9 other fakers (winner had over 45 votes).

Contest by Deti at Sal's Realm

The idea behind this contest was to create a fake weapon enchanted by a god (think Saradomin Sword). The god could be any RS god of your choice, and the weapon could be anything except a dagger. I created the "Scales of Saradomin". The following is quoted from my post on Deti's topic.

The Scales of Saradomin aren't really a weapon in the traditional sense. That's mainly because they have no combat bonuses aside from their hefty +10 prayer boost:

However, that doesn't mean they aren't a weapon - they have a potentially powerful special attack, "Holier than Thou":

It deals damage based on the victim's prayer level and a new statistic called "sin". Your "sin" in the eyes of Saradomin is based on a few things. Your character's sin is increased by wearing items affiliated with other gods, or made of sacred clay, or obtained as Dungeoneering rewards. Items affiliated with Zamorak or Zaros have a particularly large effect on your sin, while items affiliated with Armadyl have no effect on your sin, and items affiliated with Saradomin will decrease your sin. Note that you have to be wearing the items for them to effect your sin. Your sin is also increased tremendously by being on the Ancient Curses prayer book (with as large a sin increase as wearing Zamorak and Zaros items in all your equip slots), and it is also increased by being on the Ancient Magicks spellbook. Finally, your sin is effected by the past 100 people/monsters you have slain. Killing humans will increase sin unless they are followers of Zamorak or Zaros, and sin is also increased by killing followers of Armadyl, and killing followers of Saradomin will raise sin even faster. Wearing equipment representing Saradomin isn't the only way to decrease your sin - killing ghosts, the undead, and followers of Zamorak or Zaros will also decrease you sin.

The special attack will target whoever has the most sin and is fighting with you, but if everyone you are fighting has less sin than you, you will become it's target. Note that the effect works only in the 9x9 square surrounding you, will only target someone you are in combat with (or yourself), and will only hit one person per use. The damage dealt is based on the target's sin, but can be absorbed by their prayer level and any prayer boosts they have. It cannot, however, be blocked by any prayers, and will not miss. It also removes some of the victim's prayer points - equivalent to 1/20 of the damage dealt.

Using the special attack takes up 60% of the spec bar, as well as up to 20 prayer points depending on how much sin you have (it takes 0 prayer points if you have no sin or negative sin). If the person or people you are fighting against have zero or negative sin, and so do you, then the special attack will not happen, but you will not lose anything from your spec bar either.

You may obtain this item as a very rare drop from Saradomin Priests in the Godwars Dungeon, or buy it off the GE. Here is its Grand Exchange page:

Apparently it was released the same day Zaros godwars came out
