Terms of Reference for the Committee are as follows:
It shall consist of three members, appointed by the Senior Pastor upon the recommendation and approval of the Church Council.
It will examine the entire security situation in the country and the sub-region in order to determine the right interventions and responses.
It shall study and assess the current security situation of the church going forward
It shall recommend the purchase and installation of any security equipment, employment, and training as may be required for the ultimate goal.
It shall establish a comprehensive protocol for the administration of all security issues of the church and training for all the critical ministries and personnel.
The SCC shall present its proposals to the Church Council for discussion and approval.
It shall supervise the implementation of the policy.
It shall issue periodic reviews and recommendations for improvement after every 1 year and upon requests from the Senior Pastor.
Due to the nature of its work, the SCC shall hold meetings in the church or in the home of any of its members as they deem convenient.
The Committee shall provide updates through periodic reporting and discussions with the Church Administration/Pastorate and the Church Council
The Committee shall notify the Senior Pastor in writing of any impending changes that are likely to affect its composition. For example, the relocation of a member from Dakar, so as to provide ample time for potential replacements.
