The PWBS System has been operational for a year already! The testing, utilization, and maintenance have been successful for the Praise and Worship Module of the multimedia projection system. Work has now started on the build-up and testing of the Bible Study Module. Special thanks go to the dedicated members of the AV Team (Nelson, Salieu, Chris, Grace, Ikpen, and Yvonne). We are also thankful to the support of the Church Council, Pastor Baafi, and Sister Amelia, the Chair of the Communications Ministry.

I am currently designing an online training program for the IBC Dakar PWBS System. This will allow the AV Unit Team members to have access to the training modules and materials at their most convenient time. I will announce this news once the modules are ready. I am at the phase of stripping down the core apps of the PWBS System so that it can be easily accessed online for download and installed in each team member's machines (Windows-based os on pc or netbook).
I would also like to take this opportunity to confirm that the AV Team will not be meeting tomorrow Saturday at the church from 1-3 pm as tentatively scheduled for the above-mentioned reason.
Thank you for your kind understanding, patience, continuing support and interest in the PWBS project.

The AV Unit Team met today for the first demo-workshop on the PWBS System requirements and needs.
The Team has decided to use the Sunday Bulletins in the past two years (2015-2016) as reference to build the IBC Dakar Library of hymns, praise and worship songs.
The collaborative work of compiling all the songs in the past two years into one usable digital database is shared as follows:
NOTE: * Click on the different tabs at the bottom of the collaborative worksheet. Each one should be able to find their own assigned worksheet to update as indicated by the TAB TITLE.
Tentative schedule of next meeting: 04 March 2017, Saturday, 1-3 pm at IBC.

I had a meeting with Brother Christopher Ifeanyi-Nwanze today. We shared our initial thoughts on the implementation of the deliverables contained in the document defining the new vision for the AV Unit.
We agreed to collaborate in helping the church transition into a situation where we can gradually ease into a simple, sustainable system of providing support to all audio-visual-related needs of the church and its different ministries with the long-term view in mind.
Key implementation ideas that were recurrent in our discussion revolved around the following principles: doability, simplicity, sustainability, practicality, gradual but continuous improvement, using resources that we already have or locally available, and training genuinely interested volunteers.
It is our prayer that God will use the improvements in the way we do things help more people see more of Jesus Christ, and that by seeing Him they might have more substantial joy believing in Him.
