After a very long long wait for the BIBLE in Inpui Language, it has been released in mid 2012 at Changangei Baptist Church. This time it is only the New Testament, but I also hope to see the OT in Inpui in future. As I remember the Inpui Naga Baptist Churches Association (INBCA) had a very difficult time. Initially the process of Bible translation started under Bible Society of India (BSI). But the Rongmei Naga Baptist Association (RNBA) objected. And the process halted for quite some time. In the mean time, the Inpui Naga Baptist Churches Council could not wait to read the Bible in their own language, so they approach the Bibles International (BI), USA, for the translation works. Finally the translation completed, released and now every Inpui Naga can read the BIBLE in their own language.
Thanks to the pioneers like Mr. B. Baremchei, Mr. NK. Achun, Mr. R. Kujinang, Mr. Bt. Sathoi, Mr. Lazarus Khumba and many more who initially started the translation works under the aegis of the INBCA. Finally it completed under Mr. K. Kapangai as the Chief Translator and Mr. Lungshim Khumba as the Executive Secretary of INBCA. God bless all those who directly or indirectly contributed to the success of this project.
