Diogo Caetano

Diogo Caetano is a researcher and Electrical Engineer focused on sensor interfaces, working on academic research and development for the past 10 years. He is focused in biosensors and applications that are impactful to society (e.g., medical devices). He is also interested in technology transfer strategies and academic interaction with industrial/commercial partners.

His research topics are integrated circuits for ultra-low noise analog signal chains to interface sensors and electrodes, and advanced signal processing techniques to extract information from very low SNR signals; project of miniaturized systems, integration of user platforms with sensing elements, mechanical components, microfluidics, and electronics. More recently he is studying advanced microfabrication techniques like sensor-on-CMOS, did-to-die bonding, adhesive polymers, flexible substrates, etc. to further improve large system integration.

His work is published in international journals and conferences and he is also the main inventor in an international patent.

In general, he favors working on multidisciplinary projects and complex devices.
