INDMUN 2025

Dear delegates,

We are delighted to invite you to Institut Notre Dame’s Model United Nations 2025, taking place on the 1st of February 2025

INDMUN is a local MUN Conference which offers an exceptional opportunity for students to dive into the world of International Relations. Through a simulation of United Nation debate sessions, students discover how the global community deals with international crises. Each representing their country’s interest, they come up with plausible solutions to the complex real-world issues that politicians face today, developing their communication, leadership and analytical skills.

This year’s theme is "Navigating the rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East”. The Security Council will focus on the issue of the Yemeni Civil War, while the United Nations Human Rights Committee will turn its attention to Kurdistan, and how to protect the often vulnerable minority group there, at the same time, UNESCO will seek to not only help people but important cultural heritage, especially those present in the current climate of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Meanwhile, the United Nations Committee on Trade and Developement will focus on the ever so vital oil industry present in the Persian Gulf.

Students will have opportunities to meet delegates from all over the Paris region, and socialise during the snacks and lunch breaks offered by INDMUN.

INDMUN is beginner friendly, and we encourage everyone to try it out. Who knows, you might end up being the next UN Secretary General !
