INDMUN 2024

Dear delegates,

We are delighted to invite you to Institut Notre Dame’s Model United Nations 2023, taking place on the 2nd and 3rd of March !

INDMUN is a two-day MUN Conference, which offers an exceptional opportunity for students to dive into the world of International Relations. Through a simulation of United Nation debate sessions, students discover how the global community deals with international crises. Each representing their country’s interest, they come up with plausible solutions to the complex real-world issues that politicians face today, developing their communication, leadership and analytical skills.

This year’s theme is “Maneuvering through Sub-Saharan Africa's geopolitical issues”. The Security Council will focus on the issue of Niger's coup, while the the Historical committee goes back in time with the Berlin Conference of 1885, at the same time the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime is going to question the islamiste menace. Furthermore, the World Food Organization will try and find solutions to the fight against hunger in Chad and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees will debate on the Sudan emergency. A French committee will address Refugees' Access to Jobs and Financial Services.

Students will have opportunities to meet delegates from all over the Paris region, and socialise during the snacks and lunch breaks offered by INDMUN.

INDMUN is beginner friendly, and we encourage everyone to try it out. Who knows, you might end up being the next UN Secretary General !
