IISSO Member,
Dr. Shelbi Kuhlmann, faculty in the Institute for Intelligent Systems, is teaching the Cognitive Science Seminar in Fall 25. The seminar topic is "The Psychology of Digital Media Literacy." Graduate students, faculty, and guest speakers will discuss how people process information and choose informational sources, how people understand particular scientific issues frequent in public discourse, and the digital environments where people get their information. The seminar topic and guest speakers are truly interdisciplinary, and we encourage students in departments across the UofM to enroll in the course. Speakers will cover domains including psychology, the learning sciences, biology and environmental sciences, political science, science education, and more! Enroll in the course and attend the public lecture to contribute your own expertise to this important topic that requires interdisciplinary thought.
Graduate students, please consider enrolling in the Cognitive Science Seminar for Fall 25 on this important topics. Faculty and students, please also consider attending the public-facing lecture on Wednesday's in the Fall from 4-5:20 PM.
