Welcome! I work at the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) in the R&D Weather and Climate group. Currently most of my work is in high-resolution regional climate modelling.

In the regional modelling we often use HCLIM, a high resolution non-hydrostatic regional weather and climate model. One of the active topics is Future Weather, where we study how current weather (extremes) could look like in a colder / warmer climate. Daily updates of our quasi-operational system can be found here. Other research topics where I work or have worked on, include:

• Regional climate change, impacts from circulation changes

• Atmospheric blocking and baroclinic instability

• Cold spells and future snowfall

• Regional sea level rise and sea-level variability 

• Atmosphere-ocean-wave coupling
