Let's imagine you are a real scientist. Let's imagine the results you have predicted are the actual results. Now it's time to communicate to the Scientific Community you results.
Goals
To write an article in a scientific format, constructing conclusions from your in silico research. Your article should solve the question: "Is there a gene we could use to prevent, diagnose or treat neurodegenerative diseases?".
How to proceed
Construct your Article using your data from the previous steps. Your article should follow the structure proposed in the Scientific Article Scaffold and give answer to the following questions:
- Explain the process of selection of the gene you have decided to study (expression levels, comparative clinics, human microarrays).
- Explain the data about the possible function of the chosen gene (search for homologous genes, determining the function and expression pattern).
- Explain the results of your transgenesis experiment.
- Offer a conclusion of which could the role of this gene in neurodegeneration and explain the possible applications of your research.
Key ideas to take into account
- Introduction section of an article should contain information about the previous knowledge on the subject, definitions of the main specific vocabulary, and an appropiate communication of the goals and hpothesis.
- Results section of an article contains only the data and its description. It's not supposed to contain any conclusions.
