The uniform groups in Hua Yi Secondary School will take turns to organize the annual National Day Parade which will be held in our school. The purpose of this parade and ceremony is to commemorate the independence of Singapore.
UG NDP 2019 was organized by HY-NPCC. Due to the scale of the parade, the respective parade appointment holders will be selected and helmed by Cadets from every respective UG Group.
To provide a memorable experience as HYUG Cadet
To work towards and secure a successful execution of a full-scale parade as part of the Uniform Group significance
To foster and preserve the spirit of camaraderie between the various UGs
Annually, this parade is held to commemorate the successful graduation of our graduating cadets (mainly Secondary 4/5 Cadets) as well as enable juniors to experience and see how a parade of conducted. Similar to National Day Parade, this Parade consist of all the graduating Cadets from all 3 UGs in Hua Yi Secondary School.
To provide a memorial experience and due recognition for all graduating Cadets as a reward for their contributions to their CCA
To foster and preserve the spirit of camaraderie between the graduating Cadets for an everlasting friendship among the peers.
The annual Combined Uniform Group Camp is one of the few key events in a Cadets' life in Hua Yi Secondary School. This camp is organized by Secondary 3 Cadet Leaders from all 3 UGs, where they will work hand-in-hand to plan the camp. Secondary 1 and 2 Cadets will participate as campers, while all Secondary 3 Cadets will be facilitators. This ensures that everyone is given an opportunity to lead.
Increase understanding between different units in Hua Yi Secondary School so as to expose them to the other UG's background
To instill a sense of team spirit, leadership, resilience and independence in fellow campers thorough the camp
Develop a culture of care and camaraderie amongst the different UGs
Bond with other UG members so as to foster togetherness among them
This is a day where NPCC Cadets will commemorate NPCC Day. On that day, NPCC will be given the chance to lead morning assembly, where a representative from NPCC will read out the NPCC Speech. All Cadets will get a chance to stand on stage, where they will pledge their commitment to the Corps.
This is a day where all CCAs will perform on stage in front of the Secondary 1 students, to encourage and get them to join NPCC. Through many rehearsals, HY-NPCC showcases the drills, skills, knowledges, fun courses and key events that we participate in.
A small ceremony conducted which aims to recognize the Cadets' achievement in the Corps. Ranks, Proficiency Badges will usually be given out, followed by the recitation of the NPCC Pledge, to commend the promotion of Cadets' after the successful completion of their respective promotion tests.
HY-NPCC volunteers consistently for Flag Day organized by Kidney Dialysis Foundation (KDF), where Cadets will travel to places to help raise funds for the less fortunate.
Where Cadets work in partnership with the Singapore Police Force to run Roadshows held at public markets, or going from door-to-door to be advocates to help raise community awareness on the uprising crimes and scams.
First-Aid Course is a 2 days course to educate Cadets standard First-Aid skills such as bandaging, CPR, usage of AED and handling of burns, stings and bite sand to handle and help the member of public during emergency cases and accident.
Kayaking 1-Star Course is a 2 day course where Cadets will learn the basics of kayaking, eg. how to paddle, capsize.
