There were many punishments in the time of the great Ancient Egyptians as a way of enforcing the law. Punishments depended on what the crime was. This is similar to what people in Medieval Europe did. All of the crimes that had been committed influenced their own consequences. Examples are: exile, mutilation, drowning, whipping, decapitation, being burned alive and many other gruesome punishments.
