The civilisation of Ancient Egypt was located along the Nile River in northeast Africa. Its modern name is Egypt but it was known as ‘Kemet’ in the time of the Ancient Egyptians. The Ancient Egyptians did have an empire of their own and it stretched from as far as Syria to Sudan. It included Phoenicia and Palestine as well.

The Ancient Egyptian civilisation began around 3000BC.

The ancient Egyptian civilisation ended in 30BC. It ended when Cleopatra, the ruler of Ancient Egypt was defeated in a battle between Egypt and Rome. This led to her death and the Romans conquered Egypt and made it into a Roman province. Thus, ending the Ancient Egyptian civilisation.
