Background Reasearch

Part-1:Key words

Convex: A surface boundary that curves outward

Concave: curved like the inner surface of a sphere

vergence: A measure of the convergence or divergence of a pair of light rays, defined as the reciprocal of the distance between a point of reference and the point at which the rays intersect . The inward or outward turning of one or both eyes that occurs when focusing on an object.

monocular: Having or relating to one eye

binocular: Having or relating to to eyes

Part-2: Introduction -Physics Principle

The physics principle that is introduced in my expreiment has to do with "The Ray Model of Light" as well as the Laws of Reflection which include , The incident ray, angle and refected ray.

Diffuse reflection, Retroreflection, Multiple reflections, will also be used in the expreiment they are usefull in defining how concave and convex images work and out preception of these images.

Part-3: Materials

Materials Required • 8.5 X 11 inch paper • Drawing paper • Black markers of various size tips • Rulers • Pencils • Erasers (acrylic or kneadable)

Optical Illusions

Part-4:Procedures

The procedures vary according to the object that is being draw for example to draw an imposible triangle

1.Sketch an inverted equilateral triangle. This will be the center of your triangle.

2. Draw an extension

3. Choose one side of the "center" triangle. Extend one end of that straight line until it reaches the "middle" triangle

4. Find the same side of the "middle" triangle. Extend one end of that straight line, in the same direction as before, until it reaches the "outside" triangle.

5. Find the same side of the "middle" triangle. Extend one end of that straight line, in the same direction as before, until it reaches the "outside" triangle.

7.Add short segments at an angle in the corners. These short segments will finish off the outside points.

8. Draw in the final long lines to connect the corners.

Part-5: Safety Regulation

There are no saftey regulations included in this experiment
