Membership
Becoming a member of HSS is easy, but it does require commitment. Unlike a commercial operation, the club operates by volunteer help. This means that cost stays extremely low for everyone. It also means that everyone has to work to make it happen. Below is an overview of the costs and benefits of being an HSS member.

IMPORTANT
Stephen Layton (our flight instructor) will NOT be available for most of the spring & summer of 2023 due to taking a crop spraying job in the midwest. There is NO INSTRUCTION AVAILABLE at this time, so we will not be taking on new students.

-Working as ground crew
-Launching gliders (from pickup)
-Staging gliders
-Holding a wing (launching)
-Tow line retrieval
-Hangar housekeeping
-Attending meetings
