Join the fight against stunting with Indonesia!

Congratulations on Rezky and Ceria, whose works are published in prestigious international journals!

Ms. Rezky Aulia Yusuf's (MS '19, IHP) study on Indonesian adolescents' physical activity found that the youth's physical activity has been declined. Social relation with parents and peers could contribute to adolescents' physical activities. The study is published on the March issue of Asia-Pacific Journal of Public Health.

Ms. Ceria Ciptanurani (MS '20, IHP) investigated the association between family structure and young children's status of stunting and overweight. Social and economic environment in family could influence children's development status at the early stage of life. The study is published online first on Public Health Nutrition.

These studies are timely for the Indonesia's national efforts to eradicate childhood stunting.

近年來，擁有豐富人口紅利的印尼，在總統佐科威帶領之下，要以全國之力消除兒童營養不良的問題，以提高國家經濟實力。在經濟快速發展與生活型態快速改變之下，印尼社會面臨著艱鉅的營養與健康挑戰。國際衛生學程畢業生Rezky Aulia Yusuf's (MS '19, IHP)與Ceria Ciptanurani (MS '20, IHP)剛登上國際期刊的研究報告，將對印尼消除營養不良的奮鬥，提供即時的重要實證。

許益湉碩士研究發表於期刊Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice

許益湉(國立陽明大學國際衛生碩士)的碩論調查印尼亞齊省首都的糖尿病患在齋戒月裡的飲食行為以及相關飲食知識態度。印尼亞齊是個穆斯林密度高，宗教生活虔誠的族群。在宗教文化中應該日間禁食的齋戒月裡，糖尿病人的飲食狀態如何，這些飲食狀態是否影響糖尿病患者的健康，是許益湉研究的主題。

許益湉接受教育部學海築夢/新南向的補助，以及國衛學程計畫支援，在2017年夏天到印尼班達亞齊市進行調查。這也是國立陽明大學與印尼Syiah Kuala University醫學院合作的計畫。合作人員包括陽明國際衛生學程的校友Amanda Yufika。

許益湉將碩論資料中與飲食有關的數據作進一步整理，投稿至國際糖尿病聯盟的官方期刊Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice，於日前獲接受發表。這本期刊是國際糖尿病聯盟的官方期刊。顯見穆斯林每年一度的齋戒月與健康的關係，反映著文化/宗教權與健康權間如何平衡的議題。英文版本的出版，有助國際上穆斯林族群的參考。

Ivy Hsu's (MS '18, IHP) survey on the dietary knowledge, preferences, and behaviors during Ramadan among diabetes patients in Muslim community of Banda Aceh is accepted for publication on Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice, the official academic journal of the International Diabetes Federation. This was a collaboration between National Yang-Ming University and Syiad Kuala University.

林俞均碩士論文發表於期刊Journal Pediatric Nursing

林俞均(國立陽明大學公共衛生研究所碩士)碩士論文評估採用美國太空總署NASA發展的Mission X健康教案改善學童健康知識與行為的效果。Mission X是美國歐巴馬主政時期，由NASA設計，利用兒童成為太空人的想像與期待來教育兒童追求健康生活型態的價值與方法。馬偕護理系、陽明公衛所、與美國Ball State University合作計畫。
