Touch 7's

The 3rd Hills Junior Rugby Touch 7’s Tournament - CLOSED

Registrations for the 3rd Hills Junior Rugby Foxtel Touch7s program are NOW CLOSED. The Tournament welcomes all NEW and RETURNING Touch 7s Players for 5 weeks of Fitness and Fun - both boys and girls! It is both a non-competitive and non-contact Tournament, so match results and competition ladders are not kept. The focus is on improving the kids' Fitness and having Fun with their mates.

To register, all players must have a Rugby Xplorer account, and either register using the Rugby Xplorer App (available as a download from iTunes and Google Stores), or at the Rugby Xplorer Registration Website.

There is a limit of 8 Teams in the Tournament, with 7-10 players on each Team. Whilst the Tournament has predominately catered for the U8-U12 Age Groups over the last two years, if you fall outside those age groups, you're more than welcome to participate. The cost for 2020 remains as it has for the last 2 Tournaments, ie $50 per player. All NEW Players will be issued with a reversible playing singlet on the first night of the Tournament. In order to finalise Teams and the Draw, registrations closed at 5pm on Thursday 30 January 2020.

The program commenced on Thursday 6 February 2020 and ran for 5 weeks through to Thursday 5 March 2020. The format will be the same as previous years, with all 8 Teams playing 3 matches each Thursday, with the first matches to commence at 6pm sharp (although exact timings will be confirmed as we get closer).

Please do not organise your own Teams - the Club will do this to ensure a good mix of ages, abilities and genders across all Teams. Players register as Individuals (not Teams), and will be placed in a mixed age, mixed gender team.

SIBLING REGISTRATION: Due to a system limitation, if you are registering multiple siblings for the Tournament, please ensure that you DO NOT register them at the same time ie when you complete the first registration and are asked if you have another registration to complete, please click NO. You can then go back in and register each other sibling separately, saying NO each time to that final question. If you fail to do this properly, please do not be offended when the Club approaches you to seek reimbursement of the unpaid fees. If you're unsure as to how to proceed, please contact Jason Saffy, the Club's Touch7s Coordinator, for more information.

REFEREES: The Tournament needs a handful of Referees to assist by refereeing the matches. Not an onerous task if we get a few hands up. There is a short online course available to get you up to speed on the Rules. You'll also get a free T-Shirt and Whistle! Just drop us a note if you can help out.
