One of the wildest adventures in my twenties is a research/surf trip in Indonesia with Oscar Abelleira in 2010. Amazed by the scenery as if they were in the story of Stranger in the Forest by Eric Hansen (credit: Jared Grummer lent me the book). Our luggage together with some research equipment was lost during flight transitions. We ended up building the equilibration chamber (left) with available materials in a remote village in Borneo.

I was a teaching assistant for a field trip class in Mexico for two years (2008-2009). This was my first teaching experience in field work.
