Chofetz Chaim Day School

The Chofetz Chaim Day School aka Chofetz Chaim Yeshiva was founded in 1946 at the southwest corner of Reading Road and S. Crescent (today S. Fred Shuttlesworth). The school was previously briefly at 610 Forest Avenue. In 1959, it merged with Yeshiva Eitz Chaim (founded 1926) to create a united Orthodox day school. In 1963, it moved to Roselawn. The original building is torn down, but the school's annex (small red building) can be seen in the background of the picture.
