There are a lot of great scientists!
Every scientist has his or her own inventions or discoveries.
In Leiden you have the Boerhaave museum. The museum is named after Herman Boerhaave (1668-1738), a Dutch physician, anatomist, botanist, chemist and researcher. The museum contains a collection of historical scientific instruments from all branches of science, but mainly from medicine, physics, and astronomy.
In the museum is also a section with Nobel prize winners. The award (Nobel prize) was placed in the will of Alfred Nobel in 1895, and was awarded for the first time in 1901 after his death.
