Step 1: Select a character

The first thing you have to do is to select a character you want to study. It must be a qualitative character (you can answer yes or not, as having dimples or not having dimples) of easy observation and determination, and should be present among people of the families you will analize.

Some ideas:

    • The sense of rotation of the hair's cowlick (left/right).
    • The relative length of the index finger (longer/shorter than anular).
    • Having cleft chin.
    • Having dimples.
    • Being able to roll the tongue.
    • Being able to extend the thumb.
    • Having the little finger of the hands curved.
    • Front line of hair straight or pointed.
    • Earlobe joint or free.

And any other qualitative character you consider might be subjected to genetic heredity.
