What will happen during the assessment?
When the assessor arrives the will firstly introduce themselves and explain a little more about the energy performance certificate as well as answering any questions you may have about the assessment.
The assessor will then begin the assessment they will need access to every room and the loft of the property as well as any outbuildings. They will have to look at the exterior as well as the interior of the building as well as service metres. Once the assessor has completed the assessment they will come back and give you any relevant information and explain that they can email a copy of the assessment to you within 48hrs and will also post you a paper copy.
PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING THE ASSESSMENT THE ASSESSOR WILL BE REQUIRED TO TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS OF YOUR PROPERTY, AS THIS IS REQUIRED BY OUR ACCREDITATION.
