In 2009 I decided that I was going to change my life, I have always had a large interest in properties and studied BTEC National Certificate in construction at college, but unfortunately due to the economic climate was unsuccessful getting an apprenticeship. I got in touch with Energy trust after hearing about the Energy performance certificate programme, and thought that it would be an ideal course helping both the environment and me back on track. I did the course and enjoyed it immensely. I am now running my own Domestic energy assessing company and enjoying every minute.
