TRIALS UPDATE

The HCRA Board has approved several updates intended to support our paddlers as we prepare for the upcoming World Sprints cycle. Please review the information below carefully.

Approved Dues & Fee Adjustments

• The HCRA Board has approved covering $150 of the final dues for all Junior and Elite division paddlers.

• The roster fee has been reduced from $40 to $25 per paddler.

• For paddlers who qualify for World Sprints, the $25 roster fee will roll over and be applied toward final dues.

With these adjustments:

• Final dues are reduced from $240 to $215, or

• $65 total for Junior and Elite paddlers after the $150 credit and roster fee rollover.

V1 Availability for Training

The V1s used at trials will be made available for training and preparation for World Sprints.

• HCRA will cover shipping costs to off-island clubs if needed.

• The club or individual will be responsible for return shipping costs when the V1s are needed again.

• All damage/maintenance is the responsibility of the club/individual utilizing the equipment.

• It is anticipated that the V1s will not be required again until 2028.

• Priority will be given to V1 qualifiers.

• A license agreement must be completed before any V1 is released.

More information will be provided as we finalize the details.

Tentative Time Trial Schedule

The tentative race schedule for time trials has been posted. Please note:

• Time trials will be one day only

• Date: SATURDAY, March 7, 2026

• Coaches Meeting: 8:00 AM

• Race Start: 8:30 AM

The schedule is tentative and subject to change. Any updates will be communicated as they are confirmed.
