Welcome to the 2017 APS CUWiP held at Harvard!

We, the SPIN UP committee and CUWiP local organizing committee, strongly condemn hate: racism, sexism, xenophobia, ableism, homophobia, and all other forms of discrimination are not welcome at this conference. We are committed to making the SPIN UP workshop and our regional CUWiP a place where ALL voices are truly welcome, supported, safe, and heard. The SPIN UP and local organizing committee give our personal promise to do EVERYTHING in our power to make sure our events are a place where hate is not tolerated or normalized. We are also structuring our CUWiP to educate participants about these issues and amplify the voices of those affected by them. We invite anyone to contact us for any reason, to give feedback, or make suggestions about how to improve. Our email is cuwip2017@g.harvard.edu.

We have a facebook group! Join us at https://www.facebook.com/groups/harvardcuwip2017/

About the Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP)

APS Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP) are three-day regional conferences for
undergraduate physics majors  held simultaneously at several universities in the United States. Their goal is to help undergraduate women continue in physics by providing them with the opportunity to experience a professional conference, information about graduate school and professions in physics, and access to other women in physics of all ages with whom they can share experiences, advice, and ideas. The 2017 conferences will be held from Friday January 13 through Sunday January 15.

These conferences are supported in part by the National Science Foundation (PHY-1346627) and by the Department of Energy Office of Science (DE-SC0011076). Further details are available on the APS conference website.
