This is a lightweight performance oriented M3UA tool used to drive SMS traffic through a mobile operator's network. It can simulate a MSC sending MO traffic and the MO side of an SMSC. It can also simulate the MT side of an SMSC, a HLR and a MSC. Its intended use is to test Signalling Gateway configuration and SMS interceptor applications.

It sends precanned messages, but allows configuration of Global Titles, Point Codes and SCTP connectivity information for all endpoints. It also allows the OA and DA to be specified.

The RPM should install on any environment but for the automatic postinstall script to run successfully and to be able to use the package:

• The linux sctp kernel module needs to be available. If you have a 2.6 kernel you should be ok
• The python header files need to be available. These are usually found in a python development package
