Posekany Pictures

Many Posekanys and related folks. In no particular order. This is overflow from the main Posekany page. Note: I try not to include too much information about anyone still living. Definitely less than you would see in a newspaper. I'll be glad to take down anything you don't want shown. Just email me.

Grandma Nora (Krueger) Posekany and ... Kathy tells me that's Kayanne with the pigtails, and Lynn with the red shirt. This was taken at the family reunion in Oregon, I think it was 1976.

Many Posekanys! That's Dick Castell's van in the back ground. Taken in Chelsea, Iowa, around 1972.

This must be about 1945 or so. Family members tell me that's Lawrence in the back right, Dick on the left in the T-shirt, Ardis on the left, Lois leaning down, probably Jack Haloupek (home from the war) sitting down, Diana in pig tails, and we don't know who the skipping girl is. Was this taken on the Posekany farm, east of Chelsea? Is that some kind of farm machinery on the left? Is that a toolbox or a birdhouse? What is the cross-shaped structure in the background?

Caroline Krueger (1932 - 2007), Eddie's daughter. 1950-ish?

Paul Riha (1929-2010), Donald Posekany (1933-2013), Doris (Riha) Lawrence (1931-2011), Hansen, and Jack Riha (1934-2005) I don't remember who told me that the second from the left was a Hansen. I think it might be Robert Hansen (1933-?), who would be a second cousin to the other four in the picture.

Pat (Krueger) Thom (1935-2013) and husband

Margaret Krueger, Eddie's wife, with kids. I don't know Margaret's maiden name.

Nora and Edwin Krueger, 1906?

Jack Riha (1908-1976), Adele's husband

Nora Krueger's 8th grade class. I don't know if this was Iowa or North Dakota.

Grandma Nora - always dangerous! She must have had the shank hidden in her knitting bag!

Grandma has all she can handle. A bunch of Haloupeks and Castells.

The Haloupeks

Lizzi gave George a puzzle with cookies inside it.

Dick Castell enjoyed the wheat beer. Bill is trying to read the label. Dick just wants his beer back!

There, that's better.

Pat, Bill and Diana figuring out who was who.
