Welcome to the "Lost Era" of Harmony Guitars. This is a website talking about that period between the cease of American production in 1975, and the revival after the buyout from BandLab in Singapore in 2018. Many sites cover the original Harmony guitars from the 60's and older, but almost none on the internet discuss this "lost era" of Harmony guitars.

To further familiarize you with these instruments and their time period. In 1975, Harmony in America folded, and instead, was sold to various Asian outfits, and had their guitars made in multiple "building houses" all across Asia including Saehan, Yako, and Samick, just to name a few. Most people remember these instruments as being sold from various Wishbook catalogs such as those offered by J.C. Penney, Sears Roebuck and Co., and Montgomery Wards.

During the 2000's the company was sold yet again and started producing variants of their well known "36 Student Electric Guitar", also known as the Harmony H-801/802/803/804/805 models as the model 218x - with X being a number that determined what paint color the guitar was. This production continued as late as 2018 when the company was sold to BandLab of Singapore, who currently owns and produces versions of the original <1975 instruments such as the Stratotone, Meteor, and Bobcat.
