PStart Portable Menu
If you have any significant number of programs on your portable device, you will almost certainly want a menu system to organize and invoke those programs. PStart is the menu system for you. PortableApps.com offers a menu program, but it is not very flexible in allowing users to organize programs into meaningful subgroups. PStart is terrific in this regard, making it very convenient to add and delete programs to your menu. You can also easily create menu groups and subgroups and then re-arrange your program entries by simply dropping-and-dragging them to and from the groups you have created.
One cautionary note: PStart remains in the active process list even after you close the PStart window. If you are a purist and want to cleanly remove your USB device by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in your system tray, you will first need to kill the PStart process using the Windows task manager—or better yet, Sysinternals' Process Explorer. This minor annoyance is a small price to pay for an otherwise excellent menu program.
