I've been to this center a couple of times. There really isn't much here. There is some information on the new composite structure being used on aircraft like the Boeing 787 and then a tour of the Boeing factory in Everett. I wouldn't recommend going here unless you plan on taking the tour. If you want to see some airplanes, go to the Museum of Flight. The factory tour is OK. You take a bus over from the center and get to stand on an observation deck above the factory floor so you can see one of the lines, maybe two of them if you are lucky. You are quite a distance away, but if you've never been in a manufacturing plant where airplanes are built, it would probably be interesting. If nothing else, seeing the size of the whole factory is pretty interesting. At one time the factory had it's own weather! One of the best things about the center is watching airplanes take off and land at nearby Paine Field. Remember, no cameras allowed on the tour!

I have not yet been to this museum but I have heard that it's decent. I have not really spent any time in Tacoma but I believe this museum is in their museum district, so you might be able to make a day of checking a few of them out.
