Leader/Adult Training Information

First Aid certification can be done anywhere as long as it includes adult and pediatric CPR & AED with an in-person component, simply upload a certificate of completion here. One certified adult is required at all Girl Scout meetings and activities. Certification is valid for 2 years.
Troop Leaders and Treasurers must complete GSOSW Foundations, Troop Finance and Mandatory Reporter Training. These are free, online trainings that are only done once. Log into your MyGS account, click on My Account, then go to gsLearn to search for and complete these trainings.
Anyone who would like to volunteer for Camp Wil-LO-Linn needs to complete GSOSW Foundations and Mandatory Reporter Training; these only need to be done once. Contact GSOSW if you need help accessing these trainings.
For each troop in Service Unit 9, the SU9 team can reimburse the cost of 1 person's training from GSOSW that advances their troop's travel-readiness progression. Eligible trainings include First Aid/CPR/AED certification, Before You Leave the Meeting Place, Before Your First Overnight, Before You Camp Like a Girl Scout, Extended Travel, and Wilderness Remote First Aid.
The SU9 team may be able to reimburse the cost of certification training for a high-adventure activity, if the trained person agrees to lead this activity at an SU9 event. Examples of eligible trainings coordinated by GSOSW are: Archery, Low Ropes, and Small Craft Safety. Contact a team member for reimbursement approval before signing up.
You can also log in to your MyGS account, click on My Account, and go to gsLearn to search for and complete other trainings for free at any time, using the search function in Content Library. Contact GSOSW if you have trouble logging in or accessing the training you want to take.
