Whether you're stepping onto the ice for the first time, developing your figure skating skills, or looking for new opportunities to train and compete, Great Bay Figure Skating Club offers programs to support skaters at every stage.
If you or your skater are brand new to skating, Learn to Skate is the place to begin. As skills develop, our coaches and program leaders can help guide you toward Aspire, private lessons, Flex Ice, synchronized skating, and other opportunities within Great Bay.
Wherever you are in your skating journey, there's a place for you at Great Bay.
The best place to start.
Our Learn to Skate USA program introduces skaters of all ages to the fundamentals of skating in a fun, supportive environment. Skaters progress through skill levels at their own pace while building confidence, balance, and a strong foundation on the ice.
Great Bay's Learn to Skate curriculum is part of Learn to Skate USA and is endorsed by U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey, and US Speedskating.
Best for: New and developing skaters, including children and adults.
Ready for the next step?
The Great Bay Aspire Program bridges the gap between Learn to Skate and independent freestyle skating. Designed for skaters progressing beyond the foundational levels, Aspire provides additional ice time, specialized instruction, and an introduction to the training environment skaters will experience as they advance.
Aspire is a great next step for skaters beginning to explore private lessons and more individualized figure skating goals.
Best for: Skaters transitioning from Learn to Skate into freestyle skating and private instruction.
Ready to make Great Bay your skating home? Club membership opens the door to additional skating opportunities, including priority access to Great Bay ice, test sessions, shows, exhibitions, and other club activities.
Great Bay also offers Associate Membership for skaters whose U.S. Figure Skating home club is elsewhere.
More ice. More opportunity to grow.
Great Bay Flex Ice provides dedicated practice time for figure skaters to work independently or with their private coaches. Flex sessions are offered throughout the skating season at Dover and Rochester ice arenas.
Flex Ice is available to Great Bay members and associate members, as well as eligible U.S. Figure Skating members from other clubs.
Best for: Figure skaters taking private lessons or looking for dedicated practice time.
Skate as a team.
Sharper Edge is Great Bay's synchronized skating program, giving skaters the opportunity to experience a unique team discipline of figure skating. Skaters develop precision, timing, skating skills, and teamwork while performing together on the ice.
Our synchronized skating teams provide opportunities for skaters to train, perform, compete, and be part of a close-knit team.
Best for: Skaters interested in combining their individual skating skills with the experience of being part of a team.
