Chapter  1: Introduction

Geography is a discipline that can be used to analyze and evaluate questions across a variety of fields of interest. 

If it "takes place", geographers can study it. 

Geography allows those trained to use it to think in a disciplinary fashion.  That means geographers learn to ask questions, see patterns in data, solve problems, and communicate solutions in a manner unique to the discipline.
