Culture is an elusive set of rules that partially govern the way we act. Though we have collectively created our cultures, we are largely unaware of the myriad ways culture functions in our lives. Cultural practices are conditioned greatly by the location where they evolve and where they diffuse, so they are subject to significant changes across space and through time.
This chapter explores the idea of culture, how place and space shape the way we think and how we act. Cultural Landscapes are emphasized.
