BAND FESTIVALS & PERFORMANCES

Results from State Competitions

Grant Band had strong performances at state competitions this month.

Coda Concert

Please join us for the final concert of the year to say farewell to our seniors and celebrate a great year in the Grant Instrumental Music Program! The concert is this Thursday, May 24 at 7:00 pm (call time, 6 pm) and will be held in the courtyard at Marshall.

Bake Sale at Coda Concert

Thanks to those who offered to donate treats or time! You can send donations to the band room with your student, or bring them any time after 6 pm to the courtyard. We do still need a few more volunteers to bring baked goods to the concert as well as a few people to help sell our goodies.  Questions? Able to help? Please contact Jennifer Snyder.

Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Lab, and Jazz Ensemble will perform at the Grant High School 2018 Graduation Ceremony on Monday, June 4 at Memorial Coliseum at 7:30. Details about call time coming soon...

BAND BOOSTERS WANT YOU!

Our last meeting of the year will be on, Tuesday, June 5th at 6:30 PM at the home of MaryBeth Hernandez (3040 NE 47th Ave). Everyone is welcome to attend!

The Grant Band Boosters are a friendly and fun group of parents who meet monthly, along with Mr. McFadden, to support the band program. We would love to have YOUR support. Your help improves the quality of the music experience for our sons and daughters at Grant. Please consider joining us for a meeting or two to see what it’s all about.

We have some board positions open for next year:

PORTLAND FRIENDS OF MUSIC

We are a coalition of parents, teachers, students, and concerned community members who want to see equitable access to music programs across the Portland Public School District. Here's a link to our Facebook Page if you're interested in joining.

INCOMING GRANT BAND FAMILIES

Here is some helpful information for new families joining us next year. Please pass this information along to any parents of eighth-grade band students on their way to Grant.
