BOOSTERS & SSOJ PLANNING - JAN. 22

The January Band Boosters meeting will also be a planning meeting for the Sweet Sound of Jazz. Any interested parents are welcome and encouraged, even if this is your first meeting!

While there, we'll be talking about...

...the SWEET SOUND OF JAZZ - FEB. 24

The Sweet Sound of Jazz is our biggest fundraiser of the year. This helps the Boosters to fund core program needs including uniforms, travel expenses, guest instructors, and scholarship assistance.

This year's theme is "All That Jazz:  Jazz goes to Hollywood!"

We're looking for volunteers to help with food, decorations, and especially businesses to be event sponsors and items to put in the SSOJ auction. If you have items to donate or know a business who might sponsor, use our donation request letter and form to make asking easy:

or email your donations or leads to our SSOJ chairs: Amy Geoffroy or Kelly McCollum

CLARK COLLEGE JAZZ FEST - JAN. 28

This jazz festival at Clark College in Vancouver, WA is on Jan. 28. Grant's Jazz Ensemble will be performing at 1 pm.

If we make finals, that performance begins at 7 pm. Lots of great bands at this festival and we got stuck with the first slot for AAAA... so lots of opportunities to hear the competition!

We will be looking for carpools for this festival. Please email Mr. McFadden if you are willing to drive, and let him know how many seats you have available.
