PEP BAND PERFORMANCES
Just a reminder that Pep Band will be performing at Grant basketball home games. The next two games:
Wednesday Feb. 15: GHS Unified basketball game, 3:30pm. Call time: right after school
Friday Feb. 17: GHS vs Jefferson, 5:45-9:00pm (double header). Call time: 5:00pm -- PIZZA provided!
JAZZ FESTIVALS
Festival season is in full swing! Festivals coming up: OSU festival Feb. 27-28 and PIL solo & ensemble festival March 4. Details TBD.
SWEET SOUND OF JAZZ is FEB. 24!
Grant Band Boosters' annual Sweet Sound of Jazz Fundraiser is Friday, FEBRUARY 24, 2017 in the Grant Old Gym.
We need your help! This is our largest fundraiser of the year and we could use some help gathering donations. Our goal is to have as many families contribute as possible. If we all do a little, it will help a lot!
See our donation sign-up sheet for lists of items to donate, including savory food for our buffet, or desserts for the Dessert dash!
Consider asking a local business to sponsor or donate a gift certificate. Use our handy business procurement letter to help you make your request.
Here are some examples of donations we'd love:
FOOD
Desserts for the Dessert Dash fundraiser. Each dessert needs to feed 10 people.
Savory items for the buffet. Items should be small and easy to serve, and please bring enough of any item so that not too many people are disappointed. There will be forks, but no knives, spoons, or bowls, so alas that famous chili won’t work for this. Think cocktail party. Some suggestions-
dumplings
sushi
grilled veggies
chicken wings
stuffed mushrooms
things on skewers
meatballs
mini quiche
Food can be dropped off in the old gym between 3 and 6pm on the day of the event. We will not have warming facilities, so please bring it warm, or bring something that works at room temperature.
OTHER EXAMPLES
Overnight trips (beach house, mountain cabin, etc)
Tickets to sporting events
Music, theater events
Dinner gift certificates
Spa or gift basket etc.
Handmade jewelry or crafts
Airline or train tickets
Ski or snowboard tickets (a day at Mt. Hood, etc.)
