The following policy covers situations where children are required to travel for the club.
Above are The FAs guidelines on travel, trips and tournaments for your information.
On the subject of your coaches transporting their own child and friends to and from training, that is absolutely ok.
It is just best practice not to put himself in vulnerable situations ie:
Do not transport one child on a regular basis.
Do not always have the same child in the front seat .
If either of these situations is with your own child then no problem.
Make sure each parent is aware of the arrangements.
Obviously if these things happen they are not against the law but the guidelines are to protect the adult as much as anything.
Expenses
In the event a club official is asked to travel on behalf of the club, the individual is entitled to claim back their mileage.
This does not apply to Matches.
Travel Away
Travelling to away games and having trips away from home should be both safe and fun for children (which includes all those aged under 18). It should be a chance for all children to grow in confidence, self-esteem, and skills.
Parents and carers will often worry when their children are away but careful planning and preparation should help to ease those worries and demonstrate that you have taken into account the various needs of their children and the potential dangers of a trip away.
