My Mother taught me many things including a love for poetry. When I turned 19 she gave me a copy of Marge Piercy's "Circles On the Water" and it changed my life. She wrote comments in the margins on many of the poems as well, pointing out her favorites and what certain poems meant to her. It remains a treasured gift.
