Ultra Sonic Testing

Ultrasonic testing:

This test is based on pulse reflection. A probe is passed over the test specimen, sending high frequency vibrations which are reflected

back on contact with lower surface of the specimen. When a void or flaw is present, vibration will be reflected back from this point. These will show up on the cathode ray tube as smaller peaks.
