Well life is going ok for Glo. She still struggles with retching, but less often now. We are down to about 1-3 times a day now. She will still only taste food, but wants to smell everything we are eating. She also will take a few sips from a sippy cup at a meal and swallow, but only a few mls per meal. Glo did a great job at her Early Childhood Special Education testing, and is going to be placed in the low mobility classroom. Sadly funding is so low in Oregon that is his only 2 hrs a day. There is a massive 30% cut looming for disability programs in Oregon, and we won't know for a few months how badly that will affect Glo. The state is sending out a nurse that knows Glo pretty well to assess her so hopefully they get a good evaluation and it doesn't cut too deep. I continue to lobby to try and save the programs but it is a pretty hopeless cause at this point. Glo's grandpa made her some parallel bars to help her walk, and Glo's mobility and leg strength is improving. She is able to stand while holding onto something, and is beginning to cruise holding furniture...but moves very slowly. Glo also pulled to a stand for the first time independently in her bed at the beginning of September 2016 about 2 weeks ago. We are concerned about some endocrinology issues. We are all excited for her birthday in a couple days.
