Greetings Village neighbors!
We are well into 2026 and I have not been updating the website. My apologies, I will make an effort to do better in 2026!
Follow us on Facebook  (Glasgow Village-Moving Forward) and on Nextdoor (Glasgow Village neighborhood posts) to get updated information as it is posted.
I will also be posting content and pictures from all of our activites in 2025.  Look for those in the 2025 announcements.

I will start this year (belatedly) sharing things from January till now;  listing our schedule of events for this year (so far) and updating the calendar .

October 31, 2026-Halloween Event
November 29, 2026- Village Thanksgiving Dinner
December 20, 2026-Village Christmas Party

So far this year (2026) we have provided FREE items to over 200 people through the Glasgow Village Sharing closet and the generous donations of our neighbors throughout the St Louis area. We have provided food, clothes, shoes, household items, furniture, diapers, wipes, hygiene and personal care kits, resources, fellowship, fun, games and community engagement.
We have applied for and recieved small action fund grants that have paid for snacks and refreshments, ingrediants for preparing and distributing hot/frozen cooked meals and costs to repair the roof of the community center (along with cash donations from residents).
We have applied for and recieved in kind donations for diapers, wipes, hygiene and self care kits; board games, puzzles and card games! Some of which we have given to families and some of which we keep to use at the community center.
We held our Family BIngo event March 29th and it was a huge success. We had over 20 village residents, all ages playing Bingo for 2 hours! Prizes were donated by community and village neighbors.

Here's a little bit of what we have planned for October:  (SEE BELOW FOR UPDATES & NOVEMBER EVENTS)
October 3, 2024 Employment & Resource Fair-Riverview High School- There will be employers and resources  there ready to assist! --UPDATE: This event was a HUGE success! We had over 200 students go through and meet potential employers, colleges and trade school opportunities! The community also had a chance to get utility assistance as well as job opportunities! Stay tuned for the next one! Will post pics soon!

October 4, 2024 National Night Out-607 Shepley Dr.-Come out and mingle with your neighbors and our County Police Officers, enjoy some hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans and chips  (while supplies last), outdoor games, music and fun! UPDATE: ANOTHER successful event. We had over 100  residents come through and enjoy hot dogs, hamburgers, fun and games. Next year will be bigger and better!

October 11, 2024 Glasgow Village Resident Meeting-607 Shepley Dr.--Come out and help us prepare for our  Halloween event (we will decorate the building after the meeting) and get some important information about the senior tax freeze and much more! UPDATE: very disappointing that  very few showed up for the meeting, these meeting provide you with vital information and resources. Please try to attend future meetings.

October 31, 2024 Halloween Trick or Treat- Come out and help pass out candy or be a part of the festivities!
UPDATE: HALLOWEEN WAS A HUUUGGGEEE SUCCESS! We had well over 500 kids come through (along with their adults) for candy, light refreshments and a haunted hayride!!!  Pictures will be posted

NOVEMBER UPCOMING EVENTS!

November 7, 2024-Walk and Talk--St Louis County  Police, Glasgow Village Trustees and others, going  door to door on Dundee circle, Roderick, Brigadoon and Montieth.
11:30am- 1pm

November 28, 2024-THANKSGIVING
November 29-December 1, 2024-COMMUNITY CENTER AND SHARING CLOSET CLOSED FOR THE HOLIDAYS.
