Enclosed in a garden measuring half a hectare, it is a family residence made up of two buildings dating back to the 18th century, giving the authentic setting a rustic charm. Located beneath the Tamié pass, nestled between the Belle Étoile and Sambuy massifs, in front of the Grand Arc mountain, 25 minutes from the first ski stations and Annecy lake, Arvey’s spring cottage offers an ideal setting for anyone who loves hiking and outdoor activities during both summer and winter.
The cottage
General presentation
Arvey’s spring cottage is located in a superb family house dating back to the 18th century with a charm filled with history, in the Savoyard village of Verrens-Arvey at an altitude of 550 meters. This ancient farm is made up of two large buildings: an attached house (secondary family residence) with two floors, « La Maison » (the House), and an adjoining one, « la Grange » (the Barn), sheltering a pleasant and relaxing space for well-being, with a sauna and a room dedicated to relaxation, and cold water sinks outside (natural source of water).
Arvey’s spring cottage is awarded « 3 épis » by the Gîtes de France. With a surface of 241 m2, the cottage is able to host up to 14 people because of the 5 rooms in the second floor (6th room on the ground floor can be used)

Located in the countryside in the heart of a natural preserved area (prairies and forests), close to a typical charming village at the gates of the Bauges Natural Park, Arvey’s Spring Cottage offers the charm and character of an ancient residence. Ultra cozy and spacious, endowed with a welcoming country charm and with great comfort, curled up in a magnificent fancy property that measures 5000 m2 including a triple terrace (exposed and shaded) of which one is sheltered, Arvey’s spring cottage offers a beautiful and clear view over the massifs’ surroundings, including the Mont-Blanc.

Arvey’s spring cottage is located 9 km (approximately 5.6 miles) away from Albertville (famous olympic city know for its art and history, and with its medieval city Conflans) 18 km, or approximately 11.2 miles, from the Sambuy/Seynthenex ski resort (ideal for « playful skiing » for children and beginners), and 25 km (approximately 15.5 mi) away from the Annecy lake (internationally known for its majestic site and the purity of its water), Arvey’s spring cottage has the benefit of being in an extremely privileged area, as it is located in the heart of Savoie between the city, the lake, and the mountain in front of the Bauges massif’s Natural Park. Ideal to show-off your skills during any season whether it is skiing, hiking, or biking in a variety of skiing areas, massifs, and territories (Beaufortiain, Val-d’Arly, Aravis, Tarentaise, pays du Mont-Blanc, Maurienne…).
Arvey Springs Cottage is also entitled by the organization and the home of development seminars for personal development and well-being (yoga, meditation…). The cottage also offers a massage service for “well-being” (assured by an outside provider), and offers the many sportive and fun activities nearby, as well as stores and services. The House
Large building from the 18th century, the house offers up to 15 sofas with six large rooms, 5 of which are upstairs bedrooms and one which is a ground floor bedroom.
The ground floor is furnished with:
A large lounge with an American style bar of 60 m2 with a small salon measuring 24 m2 inside of the ancient stable
3 large ground-floor terraces: south, north and a terrace located on the right corner of the farm.
A bathroom with access available for people with reduced mobility
A fully equipped laundry room
A ski room/ boiler room with outside access
A storage room with large cupboards
The house’s first floor includes 5 large rooms, of which 3 have balconies or a terrace, and 4 bathrooms (3 of which are private):
South room: 23 m2 with balcony and private bathroom (up to 3 sofas thanks to the fireside chair bed)
Red room (west and north): 16 m2 with private bathroom and a small balcony
The shelter: dormitory room for the children with 4 bunk beds, and 2 additional mattresses 90 x 180 if necessary.
A yellow room (north): 18 m2, with a large bed, a sofa and a desktop (bathroom in front, shared with “the shelter”)
Studio room (south and west): 26 m2, with a kitchen corner opening on to a veranda, large private bathroom and balcony

Who are we?
Welcome to our cottage! Valetine (14 years old), Flore (16 years old), Mélodie (25 years old), Lisette and I, Pierre Marie (56 years old) are very happy to welcome you to our family home, passed along through many generations. Bought in the 1910s by my grand father, Jean-Louis, surveyor and town mayor, his oldest son Joseph managed the farm almost independently for over 50 years, with his older daughter. Many types of livestock were bred in the farm (cows, pigs, rabbits, hens,…) as well as a variety of crops (grapevines, vegetable garden, orchards, …). My father also spent his childhood there, before we had the luck and the honor of inheriting it and sharing it with you!
Why this location?
We love to stay there. We are proud of having renovated it completely and provided it with comfort for a very pleasant stay. We would like to create a new living space open to everyone. It is a superb place, ideal to share excellent moments, with family, with friends or even in seminars between colleagues, dedicated to our passion: the human being, personal development and well-being. In our absence Odile will host you. You could perhaps also share with her her passion for body and mind care and her a thousand and one massages.
Pros?
It is a house filled with history, with the charm of its closed garden with more than 5000 m2, its three terraces due south (always hot even during low season), and the one due north which is ideal for a gentle cooling during summer, and the one beneath the arbor in the farm, with its old barrels. You will also enjoy its great salon bar, its wooden winter fireplace, and its well-being space, with the sauna and – for those who like – its water wink with water source throughout the whole year at 12°C (53.6°F) for a relaxing and invigorating evening! An unforgettable evening that can be continued during summer by singing around the large bonfire! Filled with starry nights in the mountains! You will soon fall in love with its charm.
