Brothers,
We need your help as we solicit support for the 2025 Martin Luther King, Jr Scholarship Celebration. We have included some information explaining our 2025 effort, and I hope you will identify support in 2025.
Of course, we need your attendance, but we also need your advocacy to obtain sponsors for the event. If you can approach potential sponsors with this information, please let me or Kevin Branch know so we can coordinate any efforts.
Our foundation is attempting to raise $10,000 to cover the cost of our efforts, including supporting our four scholarships, College fair and Youth Program, oratorial contests, sending youth Men of Color, LDCEI events, and Project Alpha events.
Our Full Solicitation Package is available at https://bit.ly/MLKSC-Ads, and I have included our formal announcement (below) - Please let me know if you have any questions about the arrangements.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

We are excited to announce our 46th Anniversary Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Celebration on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 12 PM to 2 PM. As we have in past years, we have decided to continue our hybrid event to include in-person and virtual options. We will feature a Jazz luncheon for those in person with the Jamie Wright Experience. Doors will open at 11:30 AM.
The MLK Scholarship Celebration seeks to raise funds for the Foundation's efforts to support local youth in the Upstate of South Carolina. We are also proud to continue to host the first and oldest Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Event in the Upstate of South Carolina and our Martin Luther King Jr. Citizenship Award Winner selection. This year's Award winner is Ms. Tabatha Ma'ta Crawford, a dedicated community specialist and Health worker with over 25 years of experience. Our Keynote speaker is Rep. Kambrell Garvin
Keynote speaker, (from SC House District #77)
We request your support for the Alpha Phi Alpha Greenville Foundation (AGF). We start fundraising to support our foundation events, including the Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Celebration and our six other efforts for 2025. We are very proud of our efforts and their effect on Greenville's youth. We need your help to expand our programs to more youth in the upstate community. Please visit our foundation website, www.alphagreenville.org, for more information about our efforts.
Thank you for considering supporting us at any of the levels available in the attached Solicitation Packet: https://bit.ly/MLKSC-Ads. You can purchase additional virtual tickets to our event or donate directly at http://mlkgala2025.eventbrite.com/.
