GGLAPA Appreciation for Support and Attendance at the Joseph Vaughn Oratorical
Brothers,
I extend our sincerest gratitude for your unwavering support and attendance at the 2024 Joseph Vaughn Oratorical Competition. Your presence added a layer of inspiration and encouragement to our event, elevating the experience for both our speakers and attendees. The theme of this year's competition, "Education as Empowerment: Navigating Knowledge and Overcoming Obstacles," resonates deeply with the values upheld by Joseph Vaughn throughout his extraordinary life.
In today's tumultuous times, it is more important than ever to reflect on the transformative power of education in dismantling barriers and forging paths toward a brighter future. Your commitment to our programming underscores the vital role that our chapter plays in uplifting our community. By investing in education and fostering dialogue around pressing societal issues, we contribute to the collective effort of building a more equitable and harmonious society.
I am pleased to announce the names of the winners of this year's competition:
Benjamin Luines (11th grader from Legacy Early College) - GOLD medalist and 1st Place
Naylah Campechano (9th grader from Wade Hampton High) - Silver medalist and 2nd Place
Noah Galloway (11th grader from Wade Hampton High) - Bronze medalist and 3rd Place
Thanks to Bro. Jackson for setting the tone for our chapter as President, and Bro. Chatman for leading this competition for the past several years.
Once again, thank you for your invaluable support. Your presence and engagement make a tangible difference in the lives of our students and the broader community. Together, we can continue to make strides towards positive change.
