Southern Region Releases Convention Reports

Columbia, South Carolina - Southern regional Convention reports have been released to brothers on Alphanet. Here is the message from the Southern Region Executive Director, Brother Kenyatta N. Shamburger.

Brothers of the Southern Region,

Greetings!

We are just one week away from the 81st Anniversary Southern Region Convention! The Regional and Local Planning teams are diligently working and firming up loose ends to ensure an informative and enjoyable time in Columbia, South Carolina. During this year's convention we will debate issues and make decisions that will help continue to move forward Alpha Phi Alpha in general, and the Southern Region in particular.

Just as a reminder, and as has been the practice over the past few years, we will not be printing Convention Reports. In order to support the Fraternity ’s Alpha Goes Green Initiative and other global efforts toward sustainability, reports are available to Brothers and Chapters via AlphaNET. Please feel free to download and print the reports or save them to your electronic devices for use during the Convention.

Also, a copy of the Fraternity’s 2010 Audited Financial Statement was mailed on Monday March 12, 2012 to each chapter. I encourage Chapter Presidents to ensure that their Corresponding Secretary secures your chapter’s copy for your delegates' review prior to departing for Columbia.
