SCDC Planning Committee Updates: Dinner Meeting on 6/14

After some discussion, I have setup a local meeting of the SC District Conference Planning Committee on July 14, at the Embassy Suites at 6:30 PM. We will be discussing the next steps & milestones in planning for the Conference, namely: (1) Ladies Activities and (2) Ad Solicitation and Promotion.

Please pass along this invitation to others in your chapter if they are able to attend. This meeting will also afford committee members the opportunity to meet the hotel coordinators who have kindly offered this time & location for our use. We will be looking to meet them the meeting before 6 PM, to accommodate their schedules and allow the opportunity see some locations available for our programs.

We are making this meeting a dinner meeting at the hotel (Dutch treat) for those interested. Please let me know if you plan to attend and dine with us by Monday, July 12th. We will order about 6:45 PM and continue with the meeting in hotel conference room. Since we are working on Ladies activities, I am encouraging brothers to let your wives/ladies know about the meeting and invite them to attend.

We are investigating better ways of promoting Ladies activities to the state more efficiently. Valerie Chatman, our Ladies Activities Chairperson, will be sending out more information to select ladies about her proposed agenda and I will reflect this to you as a reference. Additionally, I will send out an agenda on the Ad Solicitation points of discussion on Tuesday, July 13th with more details.

Later this month, we will have a follow-up Conference call to finalize any details and check on progress for any action items for the month. [UPDATE] This call is scheduled for Monday, July 19 at 9 PM, please note this time especially you can’t attend the July 14 meeting.
