JC Stroble, Passes after 58 years as local icon

Spartanburg, South Carolina - It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of John Cecil "JC" Stroble today (8/26/2013) at 6 pm at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Stroble, or "JC" as he is affectionally known, was the iconic menu caller who gave the familiar yell of "Call it" at the Beacon Restaurant in Spartanburg, SC since 1955.

JC is the father to a daughter and two sons, both of which are members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and one son is a former South Carolina District Director, Melvin Stroble.

Funeral services have yet not been announced. Please join us in expressing our prayers and blessings to his family.
