Furman University, Greenville, South Carolina - Gamma Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. (ΑΦΑ-ΓΓΛ) has released the 2012 schedule of events in Celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Life and Legacy. Our on-going theme for our events is "Building the Beloved Community" and it features a series of events from January 8th to February 18th, 2012. Click here to view the complete list of events.
On Thursday, January 19th at 7 PM, our Keynote event will be held at Younts Conference. TV Personality Judge Glenda Hatchett will speak on the theme "Dare to take Charge: Ho to live and lead with purpose". Chandra Dillard of Furman University Public Relations, remarks "We are inviting the Upstate to come and get your new year off to a great start by learning how to take charge of your life in 2012". This event is free to the public.
