ATTENTION ALL GAMMA GAMMA LAMBDA BROTHERS
Below is important guidance for our 2021 MLK Scholarship Celebration
November 21, 2020
Alpha Phi Alpha Greenville Foundation and Gamma Gamma Lambda Chapter have released our plan for 42nd Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Celebration for 2021. We will be holding the event virtually on Saturday, January 9, 2021, starting at 12 noon.
We have decided to change our event from a Luncheon to a virtual Celebration because of the current COVID19 Crisis and our concern for the safety of our community. The MLK Scholarship Celebration seeks to raise funds for the Foundation's efforts to support local youth in the Upstate of South Carolina. We also take pride in the first and oldest Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Event in the Upstate of South Carolina and our selection of our Martin Luther King Jr. Citizenship Award Winner.
We are asking for our supporters to purchase a virtual ticket for $40, which allows a person or household with an email address to connect to our event via Zoom. Virtual tickets will be available on our Eventbrite website at mlkgala2021.eventbrite.com, through GGL Brothers, or by calling our AGF Foundation phone line at (864) 735-0880. Straight donations can made on this website.
What should Brothers do?
Brothers should contact their previous year's patrons to attend our event and donate to our Foundation efforts at mlkgala2021.eventbrite.com. if you have any questions please connect with Bobby Clark or Kevin Branch for more information.
